The Theater of the Self comprises seven lenticular images. David took portraits of the band members and crew of his recent Broadway show, American Utopia, and then combined three different faces in each lenticular. All seven lenticulars are available in editions of five, with tiered pricing from $5,000-$9,000. Prices increase as work from the edition sells.

The Theater of the Self comprises seven different lenticular images, each representing three different faces—of all shapes, tones, expressions and ages. Who am I? Who are you? And what makes us, us? When viewed from different angles, one face morphs into another. A somewhat spooky manifestation of the fluidity of identity.
